Marcelo S. Caetano
Brief Bio: Marcelo has a B.A. in Psychology from Federal University of São Carlos (2002), a Master’s (2006), and a Ph.D. (2009) in Experimental Psychology from Brown University, USA. From 2009 to 2012, he worked as a postdoc in the Department of Neurobiology at Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, CT, USA. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Center for Mathematics, Computing and Cognition at the Federal University of ABC (UFABC). He has experience in Psychology and Neuroscience, with interest in experimental psychology, animal models of behavior, electrophysiology, neuropharmacology, and neuroscience and education.

Andre M. Cravo
Brief Bio: Andre M. Cravo completed his undergraduate degree in psychology in 2005 at the University of São Paulo and his Ph.D. in the same University in 2012, with an internship at the University of Oxford. From 2011 to 2012, he was a Postdoctoral Associate at the Institute of Radiology, FMUSP. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Center for Mathematics, Computing, and Cognition at the Federal University of ABC (UFABC). He has experience in Neuroscience and Cognition, with an emphasis in electroencephalography and psychophysics.

Marcelo B. Reyes
Brief Bio: Marcelo B. Reyes completed his undergraduate degree in physics at the University of São Paulo (1998), his Master’s in Physics (2001), and his Ph.D. in Neuroscience (2005) from the same University. From 2005 to 2007, he was a Postdoctoral Associate at the University of California at San Diego, and from 2008 to 2010, he was a Postdoctoral Associate at the Medical University of South Carolina. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Center for Mathematics, Computing, and Cognition at the Federal University of ABC (UFABC). He has experience in biophysics with an emphasis on biophysics of processes and systems and the biological activity of neural networks, particularly central pattern generators, dynamical systems, and chaos.

Peter M. E. Claessens

Brief Bio: Peter M. E. Claessens completed his Master’s degree in Psychology (1998) and his Ph.D. in Psychological Sciences (2005) at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven [University of Leuven, Belgium]. From 2006 to 2009, he was a Postdoctoral Associate at the Institute of Biomedical Sciences (ICB) of the University of São Paulo. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Center for Mathematics, Computing, and Cognition at the Federal University of ABC (UFABC). He has experience in Psychology and Neuroscience, with an interest in psychophysics and quantitative modeling of perceptual and cognitive phenomena, such as causal inference.

Postdoc

Alexandre P. Nobre

Brief Bio: Alexandre P. Nobre completed his undergraduate degree in Psychology at Federal University of Ceará (UFC) in 2010, his Master’s in Psychology at Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) in 2013, and a joint PhD in Psychology at UFRGS and the University of Leuven (KU Leuven) in 2020. Since, 2022, he works as a post-doctoral researcher at Federal University of ABC (UFABC). He has experience in Cognitive Neuroscience and Psychology, with an emphasis in experimental psychology and electroencephalography.

Giovan W. Ribeiro

Brief Bio: Giovan W. Ribeiro earned his undergraduate (2015), master’s (2018), and Ph.D. (2023) degrees in Psychology at the Federal University of São Carlos. He is currently a post-doctoral researcher in the Center for Mathematics, Computing, and Cognition at the Federal University of ABC (UFABC). He has experience in Psychology and Behavior Analysis, with an emphasis on experimental psychology, learning, and symbolic behavior.
